An upcoming construction project is coming to US 31E – Bardstown Road. Preliminary design and layout of the proposed improvements can be viewed below.

The purpose of the project is to prevent fatal and severe crashes and improve traffic flow along US 31E. In addition to improving safety and reducing traffic congestion, the proposed project will consider access needs.

Access points and high traffic volumes result in a high number of crashes along the corridor. Traffic congestion deters potential customers from the commercial areas. Traffic demands along Bardstown Road have steadily increased over the years and will continue to grow due to development.
